This page explains what information Ruchi Gurnani collects from you, why it is collected, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Who this is about
Ruchi Gurnani is a Certified Nutritionist and Wellness Expert practising in Delhi, India. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean her nutrition practice. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and to build a nutrition plan that fits you.
- Your contact details. Your name, phone number and email address, when you fill in a form on Instagram or Facebook, message us on WhatsApp, or contact us through this website.
- What you tell us about your goals. The answers you give when you enquire, such as what you are hoping to work on and how soon you want to start.
- Health and lifestyle information. If you become a client, the details you share during a consultation, such as your age, weight, medical conditions, medications, test reports, food preferences, routine and daily eating pattern.
- Messages. The WhatsApp conversation between you and the practice.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics profiling on this page.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
- To assess whether we are the right fit for what you need.
- To prepare and adjust your personalised nutrition plan.
- To follow up on your progress while you are working with us.
- To keep basic business records, as any practice must.
Health information gets extra care
Anything you share about your health, your body or your medical history is treated as confidential. It is used only to give you nutrition guidance. It is never sold, never published, never used in marketing, and never shared with anyone outside the practice without your permission, unless the law requires it.
Nutrition guidance from this practice is not medical treatment and does not replace advice from your doctor.
Who else can see your information
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. It is seen by Ruchi and by the small team that supports her practice.
Some of it necessarily passes through the services we use to run the practice:
- Meta (Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp), when you contact us through those platforms. Their own terms apply to how they handle your data, and you can read Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Our secure record system, where enquiries and client plans are stored.
How long we keep it
If you enquire and do not go ahead, we keep your enquiry for up to twelve months and then remove it. If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as you are working with us and for up to three years afterwards, so that we can pick up where you left off if you come back. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
What you can ask us to do
At any time you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your information,
- stop messaging you.
Just email ruchi@ruchigurnani.com or message us on WhatsApp and say so. There is no form to fill and no reason you need to give. We will act on it within thirty days.
If the client is under 18
We do work with younger clients. When the person we are advising is under 18, we deal with a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian is the one who enquires, gives us the health details, agrees to the plan, and can ask at any time to see or delete what we hold.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without a parent or guardian involved. If you believe that has happened, tell us and we will delete it.
Keeping it safe
Access to your information is limited to the people who need it to serve you, and the systems we use are password protected. No system anywhere is perfectly secure, so we do not promise the impossible, but we do not keep more than we need and we remove what we no longer use.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
